A boundary element method formulation based on the Caputo derivative for the solution of the anomalous diffusion problem

This work presents a boundary element method formulation for the solution of anomalous diffusion problem. By keeping fractional time derivative as it appears in governing differential equation problem, and by employing Weighted Residuals Method approach with steady state fundamental anisotropic media playing role weighting function, one obtains integral proposed formulation. The presence domain part its integrand, evaluation this Caputo derivative, constitute main feature analyses some examples, which numerical results are always compared corresponding analytical solutions, show robustness formulation, accurate obtained even small values order derivative.
